For Christmas 2026, Woodys brings an Arctic world into its XMAS V capsule. Two limited-edition sunglass frames, INARI and SAMI, express the idea through contrasting shapes and colors: luminous pearl and deep burgundy. A signature pattern connects the eyewear to its special packaging, exclusive eyewear cord and complete window display, giving the collection a recognizable identity from the frame to the store.

Meet Woodys

Woodys is a Spanish eyewear brand based in Vic, in the Barcelona region, creating optical frames and sunglasses with expressive color and distinctive shapes. Its story began with wooden glasses: after founder Josep Dosta lost his glasses while wakeskating, he developed frames from recycled wakeskate boards. The first collection launched in 2013.

Woodys later expanded into acetate and metal, while keeping creativity and color at the heart of its designs. Its in-house design team works with shape, transparency and details such as engraving and milling. XMAS V brings that approach into a seasonal capsule, where a shared pattern connects two different frame personalities.

Sámi inspiration and a signature pattern

Woodys identifies Sámi culture as the starting point for XMAS V. The Sámi are an Indigenous people of northern Europe whose homeland, Sápmi, extends across northern Norway, Sweden and Finland and the Kola Peninsula in Russia. For this capsule, Woodys draws on nature, craftsmanship, traditional colors and Arctic surroundings.

That inspiration shapes both the campaign setting and the objects within it. Snow, winter clothing and reindeer establish the Arctic scene; pearl acetate recalls snow, while a repeated geometric motif gives the frames, packaging and cord a shared identity. The collection translates those references into contemporary eyewear through color, texture and contrasting silhouettes.

Woodys reinterprets traditional Sámi colors and graphic references in a custom pattern. It is worked into the pearl temples of INARI and the metal core of SAMI, then repeated on the packaging and cord. Each model expresses the theme in its own way.

INARI in luminous pearl

INARI has a soft rectangular silhouette in pearl acetate, a color Woodys connects to Arctic snow. Rounded corners soften the outline, while the broad front gives the shape presence. In the campaign photographs, the pale frame stands out against the darker lenses and echoes the snowy landscape around it.

The sculptural temples carry the collection’s custom pattern, milled into their surface for a textured finish. This detail brings the concept into the construction of the frame itself. Seen from the side, INARI reveals a different aspect of the design than its front view: the volume of the temples and the pattern worked into the pearl material.

SAMI in deep burgundy

SAMI takes the capsule in a warmer direction with a bold cat-eye silhouette in deep burgundy. Its lifted outer corners and fuller proportions give it a distinct outline alongside INARI’s softer rectangle. Together, the models show two expressions of the same collection, one light and rounded, the other rich in color with a more pronounced cat-eye shape.

For SAMI, the Sámi-inspired pattern is engraved into the metal core of the temples. The side view reveals the motif through the burgundy frame, adding another layer of detail to the darker color. INARI and SAMI share a graphic reference, but each uses it differently: a milled surface in pearl acetate and an engraved metal core in burgundy.

Packaging that carries the pattern

The XMAS V presentation continues beyond the sunglasses. Special packaging repeats the signature textures and pattern, with pearl and burgundy linking the box and case to the frames. The coordinated colors make the packaging part of the collection’s design rather than a separate seasonal wrapping.

An exclusive eyewear cord is included, carrying the same patterned theme. Shown alongside the box and case, it completes a presentation suited to Christmas gifting. The connection is visible across the objects: the motif encountered on a temple reappears on the packaging and accessory, extending the identity of the frame into the details that accompany it.

A Christmas display for the optical store

The complete XMAS V pack includes one campaign banner, four cardboard reindeer figures and two product totems. These pieces bring the campaign setting into the store, with the reindeer surrounding the frames and the totems giving INARI and SAMI their own place in the display.

The banner measures 90 cm high by 60 cm wide and features the Arctic campaign imagery. In Woodys’ display presentation, the two totems sit at different heights, with the pearl and burgundy frames shown against a coordinated backdrop. The burgundy reindeer pick up the color of SAMI and the packaging, connecting the window scene to the products within it.

For an independent optical shop, the display provides a way to introduce the whole concept together. Customers can first encounter the winter scene, then look more closely at the two silhouettes, their temple details and the accompanying packaging. The collection has a story at each scale, from the window to the frame held in hand.

XMAS V brings that seasonal presentation back to the eyewear: two distinct shapes connected by a shared pattern and a considered set of accompanying pieces. To explore the Christmas pack for your optical store, contact Villa about Woodys XMAS V.
