Spring/Summer 2024 Collection Details
Mad in Italy presented its Spring/Summer 2024 collection at Opti Munich. The release focused on acetate layering, titanium construction, and the brand's use of color.
Acetate Collection: Layered Color and Construction
Mad in Italy introduces four acetate styles using an ultra-thin acetate layer set into 1.2-millimeter grooves. The technique creates a lacquer-like appearance while preserving the visual character of acetate. Semi-transparent hues contrast with solid internal details, continuing the brand's emphasis on color. The collection was developed by designer Laura Rattaro with MAD's technical team.
Titanium Range: Lightness and Structure
This season, Mad in Italy expands its offerings with a series of understated styles in titanium, providing an elegant alternative to the more flamboyant designs in the existing collection. The six new models join their predecessors in showcasing a fusion of titanium fronts with beta titanium temples. These frames are assembled using distinctive hinges and rimlocks, avoiding welding where possible to support lightness, fluid motion, and sleek aesthetics.
2024 Trade Show Presentation
The collection was also scheduled for MIDO in Milan and Vision Expo East in New York during 2024. Those event dates have passed; the product details remain available here for reference.
