J.F. Rey: united by design

A familiar design can take on a different character through a change of line, proportion or material. For Fall/Winter 2026, J.F. Rey explores that idea across its men’s and women’s collections. Sledge, the brand’s best-selling collection, extends into women’s shapes, while Double Combi’s metal lining becomes the starting point for a more open silhouette.

The campaign

A shared idea, two distinct expressions

The new collection brings together fresh concepts and reinterpretations of established J.F. Rey signatures. Its starting point is complementarity: men’s and women’s frames can share an inspiration while keeping their own identity. The connection is found in the design itself, through related lines, construction details and combinations of materials.

That gives the campaign a clear product story. Look at the paired frames and follow a detail from one to the other: the line extending toward a temple, the outline around a lens, or the space between two parts of a front. A recognizable idea remains, but its proportions and visual emphasis change.

The photographs carry the same thought into portraits of couples. Two people share a composition, each wearing a frame with its own presence. Their closeness gives the campaign its emotional thread; the differences between the frames give an optical team something concrete to explore.

Sledge

Sledge extends into women’s shapes

Sledge, J.F. Rey’s best-selling collection, already spans titanium, titanium-and-acetate combinations, and acetate fronts. Its shared signature is the Sledge screwless flex hinge, integrated into the temple. For Fall/Winter 2026, the series extends into women’s shapes, with JF3173 bringing a feminine silhouette to its established titanium line. The paired detail photograph shows the connection through the line running from the front toward the temple. On JF3173, a dark upper contour meets a finer, warm metallic-colored lower rim, giving the familiar Sledge design language a different expression.

Double Combi

The metal lining takes a different line

With JF3161, J.F. Rey revisits the metal lining that defines Double Combi. The brand describes the new silhouette as lighter and more streamlined. In the close-up, the metal line can be followed above the colored front, with an open space between the two contours. That separation gives the familiar layered construction a more airy visual effect. Viewed beside its companion design, the relationship is easy to trace even as the lens shape and proportions change.

Line and color

The same construction, another impression

Color gives the design another way to change character. The two JF3161 still lifes show a patterned version against green and a blue-toned version against lilac. In the blue-toned frame, the warm metallic-colored outline is particularly easy to distinguish from the front beneath it. Following that outline is a simple way to explain the construction at the dispensing table, before moving on to the wearer’s own preferences for shape and color.

The campaign portraits

Individual character, seen together

Against green, the final portrait brings the two faces close together and lets the frames hold the center of the image. Different outlines sit within one composition. It is the clearest expression of the collection’s premise: a common design language leaves room for individual character. For an optical team presenting the collection, the paired imagery offers a starting point for showing how one construction idea can lead to different choices on the frame board.
