Transformed, the newest Blackfin AURA frames are thinner and combine the two technical materials (titanium and nylon) in a functional design that ensures greater stability and simplicity in pressure-mounting the lenses. The elements merge naturally to produce what Blackfin calls a techno-glamour balance of elegance, light, and color.

The two new models in the line are McDowell and Yates. McDowell has a slightly squared shape, while Yates has softer, more rounded lines. The gradient nylon rims seem to blend seamlessly with the titanium ‒ available in a variety of tones from shades of green and blue to silver grey and black gold in the former; and deep red, vibrant blue, brown, and amber gold as well.
